Marilyn Holcomb
A Lifetime of Collecting and Curating Antiques
Marilyn Holcombs’ journey as an antique collector began when she was just ten years old, tagging along with my mother on her regular expeditions to “junk stores” in the Omaha area. Those early experiences ignited a passion that has only grown stronger over the years.
Started with Victorian trade cards
She started with Victorian trade cards, captivated by their intricate designs and historical significance. As She grew older and began earning my own money, my collection expanded to include more valuable items. Today, she has a particular fondness for primitives, especially small baskets; Victorian tin, with a special interest in vasculums; and an assortment of Santa Clauses and snowmen crafted from various materials.
She Buys for Resell mostly…
While she primarily collects with the intent to resell, there are certain treasured finds that she can’t part with immediately—they stay with me for years before eventually finding new homes.
She has many decades of experience
She has many decades of experience and continues to be driven by the thrill of discovery, constantly seeking out unique pieces that tell a story. Each item in her collection reflects a lifetime of dedication to preserving history and sharing it with others. Come by Marilyn Holcomb’s booth at this fall’s show and find your special item to add to your collection.
